Whether unwinding over drinks while watching the sunset, enjoying our scenic views, cruising our pristine waters, splashing at our beach, fishing in our lake and coves, or just enjoying the birds and wildlife, Lake Swannanoa, is a family-oriented association offering a little something for everyone.

Our sand beach provides a safe and fun place for young children to play and swim.  A large deep water swimming area with a swim platform is entered via a gently sloping beach.

For picnics and barbecues, we provide a picnic shelter. We have a swing set and a good play area for the kids. You can find more information about the beach on our News page.

Boat docks are available at the beach area for members in good standing to dock their boats.  Watercraft powered by electric motors or wind are only permitted.

Current boat tags must be displayed at all times on both sides all boats on Lake Swannanoa, the ponds & other Lake Swannanoa Homeowners Association property. If you do not have a tag, you will be asked to leave the water.

Ever see those perfectly round holes out in the ice? Fisherman enjoy the waters when the lake is frozen as well as during warmer weather. We endorse a catch and release policy.

Cold water safety!

You should treat any water temperature below 70F with caution.

As the weather warms, we all look forward to getting out on the water. While it may feel like summer, remember that water temperatures in the lake remain just above freezing and quite dangerous. We urge all members to exercise caution when boating this time of year.

Proper clothing for cold water immersion and PFD (personal flotation device) use are vital. It's always a good idea to wear your PFD and let someone know your plans. Click the link below if you'd like to know more.

Once the lake is soundly frozen, if you can clear it, you can skate on it!
